The DCNS exhibit at IDEX featured the FREMM ER frigate, the Scorpene submarine, the SETIS combat system, Contralto System and Gowind® OPV L'Adroit.

DCNS's product portfolio includes naval systems for surface combatants, submarines, services, underwater weapons, simulators for initial and ongoing crew training, and innovative solutions in marine renewable energy (MRE). Technologically complex programmes are DCNS's core area of expertise. The keys to managing complexity begin with a talented workforce and training in the relevant technologies, combined with team-building skills to bring together DCNS centres, customers and industrial partners. For over ten years now, DCNS has been managing its industrial activities on environment-friendly lines. The Group is currently carrying out programmes for clients on four continents. The submarine programme for Brazilian Navy, which is a world first in terms of scale, is now in the production phase. Furthermore, the contract DCNS won in Russia for projection and command ships confirms DCNS offering's growing competitive potential.

During NAVDEX 2013 Navy Recognition interviewed Commander (French Navy) Sacha Bailly, Commanding Officer of the L'Adroit OPV.

Thanks to this proven expertise in warship design and integration of naval systems, DCNS designed and developed a new family of ocean-capable patrol vessels, named Gowind®. Gowind vessels are an exceptional tool for missions ranging from counter-piracy to sea control and denial including anti-submarine warfare operations. They have been designed to be simple to operate, easy to maintain and efficient. Gowind® platforms and mission systems can be tailored to customer requirements for an optimum trade-off between homeland security and naval combat capabilities.

On the occasion of IDEX/NAVDEX, L'Adroit welcomed visitors and delegations. During previous stopovers, many navies around the world have been favourably impressed by L'Adroit and recognised the operational benefits of the Gowind® range.

OPV Gowind L’Adroit was built under a self-funded DCNS programme in conjunction with equipment manufacturers contributing high-performance products. OPV Gowind L’Adroit is lent to the French Navy so that it can evaluate the ship and its systems.

Some of the companies involved in the program includes:
- Schiebel Elektronische Geraete GmbH who equips l’Adroit with the CAMCOPTER®
- TERMA A/S who provides the naval surveillance radar systems
- Sagem provides the EOMS NG multifunction optronic equipment to ensure the ship’s close self-defense within a single system, and SIGMA 40D ring-laser-gyro inertial system for the ship’s navigation and combat system.
- LINKSrechts provides an helicopter Visual Landing aid system
- LACROIX Defence & Security provides the decoy system
- The Thales systems installed on board the OPV ensure intelligence-gathering functions (Altesse and Vigile LW) and operational communications (over HF, UHF and satellite).
- FLIR supplies a gyrostabilised platform FLIR TALON to detect targets night and day.
- Zodiac MILPRO provides two Hurricane Ribs
