DIMDEX 2022: Qatar Emiri Navy showcases training ship Al Doha.

At DIMDEX 2022, the Doha International Maritime Defence Exhibition and Conference being held in Doha, the capital of Qatar, on 21–23 March 2022, the Qatari Emiri Navy showcases the first training ship Al Doha (QTS 91) built by Anadolu Shipyard.

QTS 91 has an approximate length of 90 m, a beam of 14.2 m, and 2,150 tones of full load displacement. Besides basic naval cadet training, Al Doha has a helipad for a medium-size helicopter on the stern and will be capable to provide combat management and weapon training to the trainees as well. A secondary mission such as offshore patrol duties can be carried out.

The ship has been specifically designed to meet the Qatari Navy's needs. They will be used to train the future Qatari Navy personnel. The ships will be equipped with classrooms and training areas. The ship has the capacity to train 76 naval cadets.

Al Doha is powered by two main Diesel engines developing 5460 kW. She can reach a top speed of 22 knots. The ship has a crew of 66 people. The armament of the ship includes on 30 mm automatic cannon and two 12.7mm caliber heavy machine guns.

Anadolu Shipyard (ADİK) is a Turkish shipyard located in Tuzla, Istanbul. The shipyard mostly builds amphibious warfare ships as part of the defense industry.
