The two new generation surface combatants conducted a series of joint training as well as the traditional exchanges during which British and French sailors crossed decks for a few hours to discover crew life on the other vessel.

Provence
and HMS Defender sailed together to the east coast of India and the port of Visakhapatnam where they participated on 7 and 8 February 2016 in the International Fleet Review, a large international fleet review organized by the Indian Navy and involving more than 70 vessels from 35 different countries.
