"When the BGK-2150 large hydrographic survey boat completes dock trials, it will be towed to Sevastopol to undergo running tests," the spokeswoman said.

"After the boat is accepted by the acceptance commission, it will operate in the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov," she added.

Another Project 19920 large hydrographic survey boat will be built before the yearend. It will join Russia’s Northern Fleet.

"In all, the shipyard has constructed four Project 19920 boats," Gerasimova said.

The Project 19920 large hydrographic survey boat has a displacement of 320 tons, a length of more than 36 meters and a speed of 11.5 knots. Its crew totals 11.

The boat is designed to carry out hydrographic work, pilot and escort submarines and transport military personnel and cargo to rough terrain.
As it was reported earlier, as many as 14 Project 19920 large hydrographic survey boats are planned to be built.
