U.S. Navy Awards Boeing Contract for 2 More P-8A Poseidon Maritime Patrol Aircraft
 
The Boeing Co., Seattle, Washington, is being awarded a $276,261,820 modification to a previously awarded fixed-price-incentive, firm target contract (N00019-14-C-0067) for the production and delivery of two full-rate production Lot III P-8A Poseidon Multi-mission Maritime Aircraft.

Based on Boeing’s Next-Generation 737-800 commercial airplane, the P-8A offers the worlds’ most advanced anti-submarine, anti-surface warfare and intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance capabilities. The Navy has deployed four P-8A patrol squadrons since operations began in 2013.
