Onboard South Korean Navy Ship No Jeok Bong
No Jeok Bong, a Cheon Wang Bong-class tank landing ship of the South Korean Navy, served as one of our impressive tour locations on day four. The modern-class landing ship is a testament to South Korea's significant strides in naval defense, showcasing the country's ability to support large-scale maritime operations.
Meteksan Presents ULAQ USV Unmanned Surface Vessel
The Turkish defense industry giant Meteksan unveiled the ULAQ Unmanned Surface Vessel (USV) at LIMA 2023. The ULAQ USV is a ground-breaking development in naval warfare, capable of conducting a variety of missions autonomously, including surveillance, intelligence, reconnaissance, and offensive operations, while minimizing risk to human personnel.
Meteksan's Electronic Warfare Systems
Meteksan also presented its Pelican Complete Electronic Warfare Test and Evaluation System. This comprehensive system is designed to provide naval forces with the ability to test and evaluate their defense capabilities against Anti-Ship Missiles (AShMs). With increasing missile threats, this system is vital for evaluating the robustness of a navy's electronic warfare defenses.
Airborne Radar and Sonar Systems
The Turkish defense company also highlighted its radar and sonar technologies. The Meteksan MilSar, a radar system specifically designed for airborne platforms, plays a critical role in intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance, deterrence, and attack operations.
Furthermore, Meteksan's sonar systems for submarines were on display. These sophisticated systems are essential for submarine navigation, detection of other vessels, and conducting underwater surveillance and reconnaissance.
NAZAR Laser Electronic Attack Warfare System
