The CSD-A contract entailed delivering advanced combat systems engineering services as part of the Aegis Baseline 9 DDG Upgrade. This comprehensive program included the completion of a System Requirements Review, incremental design reviews, physical configuration audits of the DDG platform, and the creation of a 3D virtual environment for the Combat Information Centre. This virtual space offers a detailed and user-friendly visual representation of the combat system compartments for RAN operators.

Lockheed Martin Australia's accomplishment was achieved through close collaboration with the RAN, the Department of Defence Naval Shipbuilding and Sustainment Group (NSSG), and industry partners. This partnership underscores the company's commitment to bolstering Australia's maritime defense capabilities.

Notably, Lockheed Martin Australia now boasts a maritime workforce exceeding 140 highly skilled professionals. This team is well-prepared to continue leading the integration, sustainment, and upgrade work of the Aegis Combat System in Australia.

Following this contract's completion, Lockheed Martin Australia has transitioned to the Combat System Integration – Integrated Project Team. This team, working alongside BAESMA and Saab Australia, will provide essential engineering capabilities for the Destroyer Upgrade's Combat System elements.

Over the next decade, this collaboration will deliver Combat System upgrades across the HMAS Hobart, HMAS Sydney, and HMAS Brisbane, ensuring the RAN's continued maritime superiority.
