EDGE Group secures contract for HT-100 unmanned aircraft systems.

According to a PR published by EDGE on November 21, 2023, the company, through its Abu Dhabi Ship Building (ADSB) entity, has announced the sale of several HT-100 multi-role unmanned performance helicopters.

This development follows EDGE’s recent acquisition of a 52% stake in ANAVIA, a Swiss company specializing in the design, development, and manufacturing of versatile vertical take-off & landing (VTOL) systems. The HT-100, a product of ANAVIA's expertise, aligns with EDGE's strategic vision to expand its capabilities in the autonomous air systems domain globally.

The HT-100 unmanned helicopter is equipped with a payload and fuel capacity of 65 kg (143 lbs) and can achieve a maximum flight time of 250 minutes. It has a top airspeed of 120 km/h (65 knots) and can cover distances varying from 100 km with a 50 kg payload to 400 km with a 20 kg payload.

This helicopter is powered by a 15 kW shaft turbine and utilizes a Flettner double rotor system. It weighs 55 kg (121 lbs) when empty and has a 60-liter fuel tank, compatible with Jet A1 and other fuel types upon request. Its fuel consumption is 13 liters per hour.

The HT-100's data link is a fully encrypted MESH IP, with optional SATCOM and LTE, and can range up to 200 km based on regulatory, setup, and terrain factors. It operates within a temperature range of -25 °C to +55 °C and can handle wind speeds up to 46 km/h.

Featuring autonomous start and landing capabilities, the HT-100 has a rotor diameter of 3.75 meters and dimensions of 2.82 x 0.72 x 1.00 meters. Its maximum take-off weight is 120 kg, and it has an operational ceiling of 3000 meters.
