UMEX 2024: Chinese firm Hisibi unveils HT850UA unmanned vessel

The HT850UA is an unmanned vessel designed primarily for military use, particularly for covert operations known as "Lurk" missions. This vessel is distinguished by its dual-mode capability, allowing it to operate either as a floating entity or in a semi-submerged state. The incorporation of dynamic positioning technology facilitates precise navigation and stability.

A significant aspect of the HT850UA's design is its emphasis on stealth, aimed at minimizing its detectability during operations. This feature is particularly crucial for missions requiring a high degree of discretion.

The vessel is equipped with a missile system capable of launching vertical cruise missiles, adding an offensive capability to its operational profile. It also supports a mooring type Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) with a maximum flight altitude of 200 meters, enhancing its reconnaissance and surveillance potential.

In terms of specifications, the HT850UA measures 9.00 meters in length, with a beam of 2.25 meters. It has a normal draught of 0.67 meters, which extends to 1.10 meters in a semi-submerged state. The normal displacement of the vessel is 6.5 tons, increasing to 12.6 tons when semi-submerged.

Powered by a diesel engine with a total output of 500HP (2x250HP), the HT850UA can reach speeds of up to 35 knots. It has a fuel capacity of 1200 liters, providing a range of 400 nautical miles, which indicates its operational endurance.
