Royal Moroccan Navy Ordered a 50 Meters LCT Landing Craft Tank from PIRIOU Shipyard
 
French Shipyard PIRIOU based in Concarneau (Brittany) has just won a contract with the Royal Moroccan Navy for a 50 meters LCT (Landing Craft Tank) which will be operated in the coastal waters of Morocco. This new unit will be built in France with delivery expected in mid-2016.

The contract also includes training in Concarneau for the first crew (for both operation of the vessel and maintenance training).

Designed by PIRIOU ENGINEERING the 50 meters LCT is based on a proven civilian version which PIRIOU already built in several units. The LCT is designed for the transportation vehicles, various cargo as well as for the supply of water and diesel. It is fitted with two cranes and a door at the bow for "roll on roll off" (RORO) as well as on beach or on dock.
