On August 24, President Volodymyr Zelensky presented the combat flag to the 385th separate brigade of marine unmanned systems for special purposes of the Navy, as reported on the President's Office website.

Prior to this announcement, there had been no public disclosure regarding the existence of such a unit. This marks the first time the Ukrainian Navy has formed a distinct brigade for the application of marine drones.

In recent weeks, Ukraine has intensified drone attacks on targets in the Black Sea region. These operations were carried out jointly by Ukraine's Security Service (SBU) and the Navy.

Notably, on August 4, a significant attack by Ukrainian marine drones was reported on the Russian landing ship Olenegorsky Gornyak near Novorossiysk in Russia's Krasnodar region. The SBU stated that the Russian vessel was hit by a drone carrying 450 kilograms of TNT.

On the evening of the same day, a surface drone attacked the Russian tanker Sig near the Crimean Bridge, which was transporting fuel for Russian troops. The SBU once again confirmed its involvement in the special operation.

Furthermore, on August 4, Ukraine issued a warning about potential military threats in the waters of Russia's Black Sea ports.
