The Fast Supply Vessel built by Swede Ship Marine in cooperation with Abu Dhabi Ship Building and the collaboration of the Swedish Defense Materiel Administration, is a 26 meters multipurpose vessel with shallow draught and excellent sea-going qualities. She is designed on the Swedish Navy’s specification for fast vessels used to transport military vehicles and combat equipment.

The Fast Supply Vessel has a length of 26 m, a beam of 5.40 m and a depth of 1.05 with a displacement of 53 tons and 1.27 m with a displacement of 73 tons. The design of the ship is divided in three main parts with hydraulic bow ramp at the front, crew cabin in the middle and engine at the rear.

The design, built from aluminum alloy, employs a hydraulically operated 'visor' type bow door to allow for vehicle embarkation and offload, while the wheelhouse and the medical quarters are fitted with a Nuclear Biological Chemical citadel arrangement. In addition, the absence of underwater protrusions offers the added advantage of safe operation in shallow water conditions close to shore.

The hydraulic bow ramp is designed for use during beach landings, allowing for the fast discharge of vehicles and men. Fully air-conditioned crew accommodation is provided for three persons and seating accommodation for 18 embarked troops.

The Fast Supply Vessel is powered by two MTU diesel engines driving twin Rolls-Royce FF550 waterjets. She can reach a top speed of 30 knots with a maximum cruising range of 300 nautical miles.
