Naval Surface Warfare Center Panama City Division (NSWC PCD) is developing another way to protect naval assets and Sailors at the pointy end of the spear.
The advanced Project 955A nuclear-powered ballistic missile submarine Knyaz Vladimir (NATO reporting name: Dolgorukiy-class) has completed the cycle of its state trials at Northern Fleet training ranges in the White Sea and arrived in Severodvinsk in north Russia, the Defense Ministry’s press office said.
According to a press release published on November 22, 2019 on the IRVING Halifax Shipyard, the Company has commenced initial builder’s sea trials for Canada’s lead Arctic and Offshore Patrol Ship (AOPS), the future HMCS Harry DeWolf.

Damen Oskarshamnsvarvet has signed an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract with Kustbevakningen, the Swedish Coastguard (KBV), for a modernisation and modification project on the vessel KBV 181. The vessel was built as a patrol boat, but will after modification serve as a combination vessel, for both patrol and oil recovery. It is used also by Umeå Marine Forskningscenter (UMF) for research and environmental monitoring in the Gulf of Bothnia.
The U.S. State Department has made a determination approving a possible Foreign Military Sale to India of up to thirteen (13) MK 45 5 inch/62 caliber (MOD 4) naval guns and related equipment for an estimated cost of $1.0210 billion. The Defense Security Cooperation Agency delivered the required certification notifying Congress of this possible sale on November 19, 2019.
On November 23, 2019, Minister for Defence of Australia has announced that Naval Group has signed a subcontract with Babcock International Group PLC for the design of the weapon discharge system for the Attack-class submarines.
