Babcock, an aerospace, defence, and security company, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with one of South Korea’s largest shipyards Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering (DSME) to collaborate on systems integration programmes for future vessels. This follows the MoU signing between Babcock and Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI) in June 2021 to focus on the South Korean Navy’s future light aircraft carrier project opportunity, CVX.

According to TASS, the Russian submarine fleet has entered a new development stage. The submarines are commissioned as scheduled. New types of arms and warships are designed, Navy Commander-in-Chief Admiral Nikolai Yevmenov told the Krasnaya Zvezda daily on the eve of the Submariner Day marked on March 19.

According to information published by the U.S. Navy on March 17, 2022, the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Momsen (DDG 92) joined the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force (JMSDF) and the Royal Australian Navy (RAN) in the South China Sea for multinational training which concluded March 15.

According to information published by Vietnamplus on March 16, 2022, Vietnam People's Navy's Gepard 3.9-class frigate, Quang Trung, has arrived back at Cam Ranh Military Port, completing the sea phase of the multilateral naval exercise MILAN 2022 which took place in the northern India city of Visakhapatnam from February 25 to March 4.
