Ukrainian Bayraktar TB2 UCAV destroys Russian Raptor class patrol boats

Patrol boats of the project 03160 "Raptor" belong to the 4th rank ships in the Russian Navy. This project was developed by the design bureau of JSC Leningrad Shipyard Pella on the instructions of the Russian Navy.

The Project 03160 boat is designed to patrol coastal areas, carry out search and rescue operations, intercept small targets and defend ports and bases from the small surface and aerial threats. It is armed with a 14.5mm remotely-operated and stabilized optical-electronic module with a detection range of 3,000 meters and precision fire to a distance of 2,000 meters, as well as two Pecheneg 6P41 7.62mm machineguns.

The boat has armor plates with Class Br4 bullet resistance and portholes with 39mm bullet-proof glass. She has a displacement of 23 tons, a length of 16.9 meters, a width of 4.1 meters, a draft of 0.9 meters, and a speed of 50 knots. The boat’s range is 300 miles and its crew totals two or three. Special personnel is 20 men.

The boat can operate in coastal sea areas, straits, and river outlets during the ice-free navigation period both in the daytime and at night 100 miles away from the home station.

The Bayraktar TB2 is a medium-altitude long-endurance (MALE) unmanned combat aerial vehicle (UCAV) capable of remotely controlled or autonomous flight operations.

The Bayraktar TB2 platform has a blended wing body design with an inverse V-tail structure. Thrust is generated through the internal combustion engine placed between the tail booms. The monocoque platform is modular with detachable main items such as wing, tail boom, and V-tails.

The Bayraktar TB2 has a length of 6.5 m, a height of 2.2 m and a wingspan of 12 m. It has a maximum take-off weight of 650 kg with a maximum payload capacity of 150 kg.
