China's PLAN Received 20 AK-176 Naval Gun Systems from Russia in 2008-2015
 
China had received 20 Russian 76mm AK-176 naval guns in 2008-2015, according to the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute`s (SIPRI) arms transfer database. Russia signed the contract with China to supply 24 AK-176 naval guns to the Asian country in 2004 and the related deliveries were started in 2008. The gun are intended for 24 Type-054A (Jiangkai II) frigates being built by China. As of late 2015, China received 20 AK-176 guns under the aforementioned contract.

The fifth Project 636.3 conventional submarine Veliky Novgorod designed for the Black Sea Fleet will be put afloat in St. Petersburg in northwest Russia on March 17, a source in the Russian Navy Main Staff told TASS on Tuesday. The sixth Project 636.3 conventional submarine Kolpino will be floated out in May, the source added.

Provence and the Scorpene class submarine Tun Razak conducted the exercise off the Northern coast of Borneo island in the South China Sea.

Based on this patent application, ECA Group widens its magnetic solutions portfolio with an aerial portable magnetic ranging system called Sterna and consisting in a magnetometer and its digitizer embedded in UAV IT180 airborne drone (developed by ECA Group). To perform the mapping in a horizontal plane of the vessel, Sterna overflies the vessel. Data are transmitted onboard, detection risk is automatically estimated and degaussing parameters are computed.
