The Project 955 (NATO reporting name: Dolgorukiy-class) K-535 Yuri Dolgoruky nuclear-powered ballistic missile submarine (SSBN) and Project 671RTMK (Victor III-class) K-138 Obninsk nuclear-powered attack submarine of the Russian Navy’s Northern Fleet have practiced dueling and launching torpedoes, according to the fleet’s press office.

"The Yuri Dolgoruky SSBN and Obninsk SSN submarines have conducted training in a manner of duel," the press office said.
The launches involved practice munitions, i.e. ordinary torpedoes without the warhead. Each submarine used one, and a torpedo retrieval boat found and recovered them later.
