Brest naval base (in Western France, on the Atlantic coast) will have the capacity to accomodate and perform basic and intermediate maintenance for Barracuda SSNs.

Brest is where the routine maintenance of French Navy Le Triomphant-class SSBNs is conducted, the submarines being homeported at the nearby base of l'Ile Longue.

Adapation of infrastructures and facilities to accomodate the new SSN class at both Toulon and Brest naval bases have started and will continue in the coming decade.
