The final acceptance trials in the Baltic Sea checked all characteristics of the warship, systems and arms, as well as interaction with submarines and aircraft. The frigate held a rescue and evacuation exercise.

"We have entered the last lap and are moving to the main event which is the hoisting of the St. Andrew’s flag. In ten months the warship underwent trials in the North and Baltic Seas in various weather and rough sea. The trial team and the crew thoroughly checked the frigate and we can convincingly say that the Admiral Kasatonov is a powerful modern blue-water warship which will reinforce the domestic fleet," Severnaya verf CEO Igor Ponomarev said.

The inspection at the shipyard will service mechanisms, the main power plant, restore insulation and hull paint. The frigate will then sail out to sign the acceptance act.

The Admiral Kasatonov will operate in the Northern fleet together with the Admiral Gorshkov lead frigate of project 22350. The Northern fleet will also operate the Admiral Golovko frigate which was floated in May. Six frigates of project 22350 have to be built. Severnaya verf is building the Admiral Isakov, the Admiral Amelko and the Admiral Chichagov frigates.
