The CENTURION design philosophy encapsulates the ideal of through-life adaptability. This approach allows a number of design options and, although nominaly fitted with 130mm barrels, it can be configured for other calibres. This versatilily is borne out by its ability to deploy effectors ranging from anti-ship missile countermeasures to surface missiles.

CENTURION’s low weight and small deck footprint make it applicable to platforms from patrol craft through to major combatants. Its multiple effector deplyment capability minimizes the number of launchers required, leading to low capital and through-life cost.

The system’s innovative design facilitates rapid and accurate launcher positioning, and stabilized barrel aiming through highly reliable electro-mechanical drives. These features deliver high area coverage which, coupled with the system’s ability to interface with the round, maximizes overall performance.

The ship’s defence system has to be capable of rapidly responding to an increasingly diverse number of threats, brought together in closely coordinated stream and split axis attacks.

CENTURION, by utilizing a wide range of effectors, provides maximum ship protection across multiple warfare environments. In so doing it fully contributes to the concept of layered defence.

CENTURION launcher system is able to perform multiple missions. Equiped with rocket-propelled munitions, CENTURION system has capability to launch short range surface missiles, active decoys, RF distraction countermeasures, long range illumination, short range anti-air missiles or unmanned aerial vehicles. Thanks to its mortar variant, the CENTURION can throw IR & RF seduction countermeasures, illumination munitions, low lethality rounds or anti-torpedo decoys. On its last variant, the CENTURION can fire sub-munitions with IR & IF seduction countermeasures, laser and EO obscurants or low lethality measures.
