Kvichak Marine Industries, well-known throughout the world for its high quality, durable workboats, patrol boatsand military craft, has expanded its operations through a merger with U.S. shipbuilder and complex fabrication expert, Vigor.

“Kvichak has built a reputation for innovation in workboat and high-performance military vessel construction,” said Keith Whittemore, founder of Kvichak and Vigor executive vice president. “Our vessels are used by the U.S. Coast Guard, U.S. Navy and police organizations throughout America. Our merger brings with it a new partnership with the Oregon Iron Works team which became a Vigor company in 2014. Many customers will recognize them as the builders of the U.S. Navy Combatant Craft Medium.”

Together,the Kvichak and Vigor team has over 100 years of experience delivering high quality vessels and programs the world over to meet the toughest mission requirements in the harshest weather conditions.The team includes production and in-house design and engineering specialiststo provide a full range of services from mission assessment through construction and delivery.It is currently in active development of products and projects for international sales.

The combined companies have a total of 12 facilities, more than 2,500 workers and the financial strength to take on the most complex programs. In addition, Kvichak operates in the Arabian Gulf and has a spare depot in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
