British Royal Marines perform a military exercise in the fjords of northern Norway with Norwegian counterparts and their stealth corvette. The exercise saw marines of Plymouth-based 47 Commando, the small boat raiding specialists of 3 Commando Brigade of the British Arme Forces.

The "Emden" is the seventh ship in the Braunschweig class of the German Navy. The Navy put the first five of this type of warship into service between 2008 and 2013. The Bundeswehr deploys them internationally, including for the UNIFIL United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon mission off the coast of Lebanon.

It has emerged that China's most advanced destroyer, the 10,000-ton-class Type 055, is larger than previously reported as the Chinese Navy recently revealed it has an actual displacement of more than 12,000 tons. Experts said on Friday that the difference between 10,000 and 12,000 tons could be huge and indicate the warship is even more powerful than expected.
