According to a Tweet released by Boeing Defense on May 15, 2020, next year, Boeing will begin integrating Block III Super Hornets multi-role strike fighter into U.S. Navy aircraft carrier fleets. The F/A-18 Block III Super Hornet is the newest highly capable, affordable and available tactical aircraft in U.S. Navy inventory. The Super Hornet is the backbone of the U.S. Navy carrier air wing now and for decades to come.

One year ago, the FAST Labs™ research and development arm of BAE Systems announced the acquisition of Riptide Autonomous Solutions. As stated at the time, the goal of the acquisition was to pair Riptide’s disruptive unmanned underwater vehicles (UUV) with our industry-leading mission system capabilities such as autonomy, navigation, communications, sensor processing, electronic warfare, and more.

Héli-Union has chosen the new-generation Euroflir™410 optronic (electro-optical) observation system from Safran Electronics & Defense, following a hard-fought international bidding process. This selection follows the contract awarded by the French armed forces aircraft maintenance department (DMAé) at the end of last year to the partnership of Héli-Union* and DCI**, covering a dozen Dauphin N3 helicopters. These aircraft, modified to meet the operational needs of the French navy, will replace currently used Alouette III.

The Boeing Co., St. Louis, Missouri, is awarded a $656,981,421 modification (P00014) to a previously awarded firm-fixed-price contract (N00019-19-C-0016). This modification procures and delivers 467 Harpoon full rate production Lot 91 Block II anti-ship missiles and support equipment for various Foreign Military Sales customers including Brazil, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Thailand, Japan, the Netherlands, India and South Korea.

The Boeing Co., St. Louis, Missouri, is awarded a $1,971,754,089 firm-fixed-price contract to provide non-recurring engineering associated with the Stand-off Land Attack Missile – Expanded Response (SLAM-ER) obsolescence redesign effort as well as the production and delivery of 650 SLAM-ER missiles in support of the government of Saudi Arabia.
