Navy of Indonesia launches two local-made fast patrol ships PC-60 M

The KRI Dorang-874 will be deployed to strengthen the patrol team of Ambon Naval Base (Lantamal IX), while KRI Bawal-875 will carry out patrol duties at Sorong Naval Base (Lantamal XlV).

On August 2021, Navy Recognition reported that Indonesian shipyard PT Caputra Mitra Sejati started the construction of the first two PC60 fast patrol boats in February 2020 and had planned that the first boat will be completed in August 2022.

PT Caputra Mitra Sejati, was established in 1971, as a general contractor company. Started with services in Civil and Mechanical Engineering followed by a shipbuilder in 1990 and published in 2000. Our Shipyard is located in Merak-Serang province of Banten, with the company's expertise in naval architecture to all aspects of marine operations, primarily design and modification of all types of ships.

The PC-60 M is a fast patrol ship that has a length of 60 m, a width of 8.5 m, and a full-loaded displacement of 520 tons. The ship can reach a top speed of 24 knots (44 km/h). She has an endurance of 6 days with a crew of 46 sailors.

The PC-60 is armed with one 40mm cannon as the main gun equipped with a tracking system, laser rangefinder, infrared camera, and day camera. It can be operated from the fire-control system. The is also armed with two 12.7mm heavy machine guns.
