The newest nuclear submarine missile cruiser "Generalissimo Suvorov" of project 955A ("Borey-A") arrived at its permanent deployment site in Kamchatka, topwar.ru reported on October 18 echoing the press service of the Pacific Fleet. A welcoming ceremony was held in Vilyuchinsk, where the submarine missile carrier will now be based.

APRKSN "Generalissimo Suvorov" completed the inter-naval transition from the Northern Fleet to the Pacific Fleet. The nuclear submarine arrived in Vilyuchinsk, where the main submarine base of the Pacific Fleet is located. The exact date of the submarine’s arrival has not been disclosed, but the ceremony was held on October 16, 2023. The crew was greeted by Pacific Fleet Commander Viktor Liina.

"Generalissimo Suvorov" is the second serial nuclear-powered strategic missile carrier of the modernized "Borey-A" project. Laid down on December 26, 2014 and launched on January 11, 2022. It was transferred to the combat strength of the Russian Navy on December 29, 2022. The missile carrier was built for the Pacific Fleet but was left in the Northern Fleet for training and preparation for the inter-fleet transition, which began at the end of August 2023.

Underwater displacement - 24,000 tons. Diving depth - 480 meters. Crew - 107 people. Endurance - 90 days. Underwater speed - 29 knots. It is armed with the R-30 Bulava SLBM, 533 mm torpedoes, and RPK-6M Vodopad missile-torpedoes. It has stealth acoustic characteristics.
