The Russian Pacific Fleet has received a new battalion set of the Bastion mobile coastal missile complex under a program of rearmament with modern pieces of military hardware, the information support group of the Primorye region said.

"The heavy military hardware has been delivered by sea transport to the city of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky as part of the Bastion battalion set. It was escorted by specialized vehicles of the Military Road Traffic Police Unit and the State Road Traffic Safety Inspection (GIBDD) to the deployment area of the coastal missile formation of the Troops and Forces in the North-East of Russia," it said.
Earlier, the same missile formation received a battalion set of the Bal mobile coastal missile complex. Mobile Bastion coastal missile complex with unified supersonic homing anti-ship Yakhont (Onix) missile is designed to destroy various-class surface landing warships, convoys and aircraft carrying groups, as well as individual warships and radio-contrast ground targets in conditions of intensive fire and electronic counteraction.
