Two project 636.3 diesel electric submarines - the Ufa and the Magadan - will be laid down at Admiralty Shipyards enterprise in St. Petersburg on November 1, Admiral Nikolai Yevmenov, the commander-in-chief of the Russian Navy, said at a working meeting held in the Admiralty building. The gathering was devoted to the construction of serial project 636.3 diesel-electric submarines for the Pacific Fleet, the Russian Defense Ministry said.
