Navantia signs Contract to support Royal Australian Navy LHD HMAS Canberra
 
On the 16/12/2014, Navantia has signed with BAE Systems a contract to support the sustainment of the Australian LHDs. Through this contract Navantia will support the Integrated Platform Management System (IPMS) and the Diesel Generator system as well as technical assistance in the sustainment of the ships.

This contract is basic for the objectives of Navantia in relation to the engagement of Through Life Services, which fits within the long term strategy of Navantia in Australia, increasing the relationship with the local industry and customer while increasing its footprint in country by means of placing a technical team and associated infrastructure in Sydney.

Through Life Support Services is one of the key strategic areas of Navantia not only for the reasons above indicated, but also to develop further an activity with relevant potential and which impacts in achieving closer relationship with our customers.
