In December 2014, Admiral Sir George Zambellas and his US counterpart, Admiral Jonathan Greenert, Chief of Naval Operations, signed a shared vision for RN and USN cooperation. It affirms that a mutual pursuit of innovative solutions and advanced technological prowess are essential to retain strategic advantage in both Navies. Interoperability and Mutual Technology Investment constitute a cornerstone of the RN-USN partnership. It builds upon extensive existing investments the two countries make in each other’s national industries through joint programmes, Science & Technology and equipment acquisition. Sea-Air-Space will showcase innovative scientific and technological solutions and make connections to spur partnerships that will continue to underpin the strength of the vision for the future. Close engagement of this kind demonstrates the commitment to ensure the USN and RN remain credible against modern threats.

The Sea-Air-Space event is quickly becoming the go-to destination for the leaders of the $200 billion US Sea Services market, with large gains in active duty military attendance and exhibitors in the last three years, as well as being named to TSE’s “Fastest 50” growing shows. Sea-Air-Space is regarded as the platform for the Sea Services to introduce and define policy initiatives and plans, and is the best opportunity for these leaders to see the equipment, technology and innovation as they prepare their strategies for the future.

“We are firmly committed in becoming a world-class platform for the U.S. Sea Services, and an international partnership such as this creates the best possible climate for companies to do business in the U.S.,” said Kevin Traver, Staff Vice President, Corporate Affairs, Navy League. “We believe it is a win-win for both sides, and are thrilled to have the British Embassy on board to help pave the way in this effort.”

First Sea Lord, Admiral Sir George Zambellas, said, "Our two great maritime nations, reinforced by the elegant and symmetrical relationships between the USN, the USMC, and the Royal Navy of Great Britain, share the ambition together to exploit maritime technology. To make this real, investment in the Defence Growth Partnership and the development of a Centre for Maritime Intelligent Systems, reinforce the UK's excellence in this field. Pleasingly, Sea-Air-Space will now provide the opportunity for our US partners to see how world class industrial capability and innovation in the UK is helping to build a modern, credible and technology-fuelled Royal Navy, as well as supporting the broader UK maritime sector, and the needs of our people."

Sea-Air-Space attendee registration is free to U.S. military, government and other qualified individuals. Attendee registration, event tickets and trade fair details are available at seaairspace.org.
