MAST Asia 2017: Mirai-Labo from Japan presents first man-portable rechargeable LED Floodlight
The Japanese Company Mirai-Labo presents a new solution of man-portable rechargeable LED Floodlight under the name of X-teraso at MAST Asia 2017, the Defense Maritime/Air Systems & Technologies Exhibition in Tokyo, Japan. The system is used by the Japan Maritime Self Defense Force.
The X-Teraso is able to offer individual high illuminance at 15m, it is more than 30Lx using "Miled Technology" with high efficient unique reflector, even with energy saving 18 Watts only. The system has a weight of only 5 kg.
The X-Teraso uses a long time storable high performance battery that is developed by Mirai-Labo to solve self-discharge problem during long term storage. It uses a Lithium-ion battery which remains 80% of its power after one year storage when fully charged.
The X-Teraso is powered by a detachable battery offering light up to 18 hours in energy saving mode or 8 hours in high power mode with a single battery. The replacement of the battery is very easy to use extra batteries to keep lighting more and more.
The X-Teraso is fully waterproof , as a conventional generators are weak against water but it is necessary to stop using at a sudden rain. You can continue to use X-teraso in a sudden shower or even typhoon as it is IP56 waterproof.
The X-Teraso is solar energy chargeable using the MIRAI-LABO solar generator. The battery can be charged in about 6 hours under clear sky. It can be roll up and pack into the original bag, the weight is only 2 kg.
