Army 2023: Russian firm KSMZ showcases new small assault boat.

According to information published by BMPD on August 19, 2023, at Army-2023 held in Kubinka, the Kostroma Ship Mechanical Plant (KSMZ) showcased a prototype of its newly developed and constructed small assault boat, designated as the KS-DShK850 project or Project 05060.

The KSMZ announced that the boat is made of aluminum, with its sides and cabin protected by composite armor. The boat's overall length is 11.5 meters, its width is 3.2 meters, and the height of its sides at the midpoint is 1.76 meters.

When empty, the boat has a displacement of 8 tons, and its full displacement is 11.47 tons. The average draft at full displacement is 0.68 meters. The boat is designed to be manned by a crew of two and can accommodate up to 10 troops.

Powering the boat are two YAMZ diesel engines, each producing 450 horsepower (or 417 horsepower, according to some sources), and it is equipped with two KSMZ-produced VD-07 water jets. The boat can reach a maximum speed of 40 knots and has a fuel capacity of 1,200 liters.

In terms of armament, the boat is equipped with the remotely controlled "Narval-P-12.7" combat module, which features a 12.7-mm "Kord" machine gun manufactured by the Electromashina Research and Production Association in Chelyabinsk.

The boat is fitted with the "OETsN-350 Cyclone" optical-electronic targeting module, the "Horizon" navigation radar station, and the "Octopus" countermeasure system.
