The USS George H.W. Bush (CVN-77) is the tenth and final Nimitz-class supercarrier of the US Navy and is named after President George H.W. Bush. The ship was built at the Northrop Grumman Newport News shipyard and was commissioned in 2009. It has a cost of $6.2 billion and is based in Naval Station Norfolk, Virginia.

The USS George H.W. Bush has a displacement of 102,000 long tons (114,000 short tons). The overall length of the ship is 1,092 feet (332.8 m) with a waterline length of 1,040 feet (317.0 m).

The overall beam is 252 ft (76.8 m) with a waterline beam of 134 ft (40.8 m). The maximum navigational draft is 37 feet (11.3 m) with a limit of 41 feet (12.5 m).

The ship is powered by 2 Westinghouse A4W nuclear reactors (HEU 93.5%) and 4 steam turbines connected to 4 shafts, producing 260,000 shp (194 MW) and allowing the ship to reach speeds of 30+ knots (56+ km/h; 35+ mph). The USS George H.W. Bush has an unlimited range and a planned lifespan of 20-25 years.

The ship's complement includes 3,532 members of the ship's company and 2,480 members of the air wing. It is equipped with various sensors and processing systems, including SPS-48E 3-D air search radar, SPS-49A(V)1 2-D air search radar, SPQ-9B fire control radar, 2 SPN-46 air traffic control radars, SPN-43C air traffic control radar, SPN-41 instrument landing system radar, 3 Mk 91 NSSM guidance systems, and 3 Mk 95 radars. The electronic warfare and decoy systems include AN/SLQ-32A(V)4 countermeasures suite and SLQ-25A Nixie Torpedo Countermeasures.

The armament of the USS George H.W. Bush includes 2 Mk 29 ESSM launchers, 2 RIM-116 Rolling Airframe Missiles, and 3 Phalanx CIWS. The ship can carry 90 fixed-wing and helicopter aircraft.
