The Sparus II AUV (Autonomous Underwater Vehicle) emerges as a game-changer in the realm of underwater operations. With its lightweight design, exceptional hovering capability, and mission-specific payload area, the Sparrus II excels in shallow water environments, boasting a maximum depth of 200 meters.

This torpedo-shaped marvel seamlessly combines high-performance hydrodynamics with unmatched maneuverability, revolutionizing the way underwater missions are carried out.

Efficiency is at the core of the Sparus II's design philosophy. Its streamlined torpedo shape optimizes hydrodynamics, ensuring extended autonomy and enhanced operational endurance.

Equipped with a powerful 1.9 kWh Li-Ion battery system, this versatile AUV can operate continuously for 8-10 hours, depending on the specific configuration.

One of the key features of the Sparus II is its hovering capability. With the ability to maintain a stationary position, it offers unprecedented control and maneuverability, enabling precise data collection and operation execution.

This attribute, combined with its lightweight construction, empowers users to effortlessly deploy the AUV with just two people from any boat, simplifying the operational process.

The Sparus II embraces an open software architecture based on ROS (Robot Operating System), allowing users to easily program and customize missions according to their specific requirements.

This open framework promotes flexibility and adaptability, making the Sparrus II an invaluable platform for a diverse range of applications in industrial, scientific, and academic sectors.

Integration of payload is a breeze with the Sparus II. Its open hardware architecture allows for seamless integration of mission-specific tools and instruments, enabling users to tailor the AUV precisely to their needs.

With a payload volume of 8 liters and various interface options, including Ethernet, RS-232, and regulated 12V and 24V connections, the Sparus II provides ample room for diverse payloads and ensures compatibility with a wide array of equipment.

The Sparus II's physical specifications further underline its capabilities. With a length of 1.6 meters, hull diameter of 0.23 meters, and maximum width of 0.46 meters, it strikes a balance between compactness and performance. The AUV's structure is built using modular aluminum and acetal hull components, ensuring durability and ease of maintenance.

Comprehensive navigation and safety features contribute to the Sparus II's reliability. It incorporates an IMU (Inertial Measurement Unit), DVL (Doppler Velocity Log), pressure sensor, and GPS for precise positioning and data collection.

Safety measures, including a flashing light, further enhance operational security, ensuring the AUV remains visible and detectable during underwater missions.
