The project will witness the construction of four armored boat samples by the Arsenal of the Brazilian Navy (Arsenal de Marinha)  in Rio de Janeiro.

These boats are specifically designed to enhance the combat prowess of military organizations operating in riverine areas, notably within the Southern, Western, Northern, and Amazon military commands.

The vessel is equipped to carry a fully armed and geared Infantry Combat Group. Its armored protection and firepower are tailored to meet the unique demands of riverine operations.

With this addition, the Army's capacity to patrol river pathways will notably increase, aiding in the defense of border areas and combating environmental crimes.

The manufacturing by the Brazilian Navy underscores a heightened interoperability between the two forces. Moreover, it promises to boost national technological advancements and create job opportunities.

High-ranking officials, including the Head of the Department of Science and Technology, the General Director of Navy Material, the Deputy Head of the Department of Engineering and Construction, and several other directors, attended the signing ceremony. This initiative forms part of the Brazilian Army's Armored Boat Acquisition Project.
