Russian Navy Naval Aviation Active Aircraft Inventory in Details as of March 2016
 
The naval aviation of Russia’s Black Sea Fleet has received an air squadron of eight advanced Sukhoi Su-30SM (NATO reporting name: Flanker-C) multipurpose fighter jets, fleet spokesman Vyacheslav Trukhachyov said on Thursday.
Russian Navy`s Naval Aviation has deployed 191 combat aircraft by March 2016, according to the International Institute for Strategic Studies` (IISS) report.

Russian Navy`s Naval Aviation has deployed 191 combat aircraft by March 2016, according to the International Institute for Strategic Studies` (IISS) report.

The fleet of the Naval Aviation`s combat aircraft includes two MiG-29K (Fulcrum-D), two MiG-29KUB (Fulcrum-D), 18 Su-33 (Flanker-D), 18 Su-27/Su-27UB (Flanker-B), eight Su-30SM (Flanker-H) multirole fighters, 12 MiG-31B (Foxhound) and 20 MiG-31BM (Foxhound-B) interceptors, 41 Su-24M (Fencer-D) frontline bombers, five Su-25UTG (Frogfoot) close air support (CAS) aircraft, 27 Tu-142M/MR (Bear-F/J) anti-submarine warfare/reconnaissance aircraft, three Be-12 (Mail), one Il-18D, 17 Il-38 (May), five Il-38N (May) maritime patrol aircraft.

Russian Naval Aviation has also deployed 19 intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR), search-and-rescue (SAR), electronic warfare (EW) and electronic intelligence (ELINT) aircraft, including 12 Su-24MR (Fencer-E) and three An-12PS (Cub), two Il-20RT (Coot A) and two Il-22 (Coot B) planes.

The service also has a fleet of 54 military-transport and passenger aircraft. The aforementioned fleet comprises two An-12BK (Cub), one An-24RV (Coke), 27 An-26 (Curl), six An-72 (Coaler), two An-140, 10 Tu-134, two Tu-154M (Careless).

The Naval Aviation has deployed four L-39 (Albatros) advanced training/light attack aircraft.

According to the IISS` report, Russian Naval Aviation has a rotor-wing aircraft fleet of 185 helicopters. It comprises 83 anti-submarine warfare (63 Ka-27 (Helix) and 20 Mi-14 (Haze-A), eight electronic warfare (eight Mi-8SMV (Hip-J), two airborne early warning (two Ka-31R (Helix)), 56 search-and-rescue (16 Ka-27PS (Helix) and 40 Mi-14PS (Haze C)) and 36 transport (28 Ka-29 (Helix-B), four Mi-8T (Hip) and four Mi-8MT (Hip)) helicopters.-
