The whole system is capable of multiple target tracks with autonomous range measurement (passive or by Laser Range Finder). Passive Surveillance features passive detection/identification, passive tracking and passive/active ranging. The target designation capability is effective against targets not radar detectable.
The new Distributed Static Staring IRST with its distributed sensor architecture allows performing a full panoramic and wide elevation coverage, without blind sectors due to ship infrastructures. This system allows a full 360° coverage and can also support night navigation and situation awareness.
