According to information published by the Daily Sabah website on December 22, 2020, Turkey will produce Ada-class corvettes for Ukraine. The Ada-class is a ship developed for the MILGEM project, a Turkish program to develop corvettes and frigates that can be deployed in a range of missions, including reconnaissance, surveillance, early warning, anti-submarine warfare, surface-to-surface and surface-to-air warfare, and amphibious operations.

A statement was released on Internet announcing the signature of a memorandum between Turkey's Defense Industries Presidency (SSB) and Ukraine for the production of Ada-Class corvettes for the Ukrainian Navy.
National Corvette - MiLGEM Project is conducted by the joint cooperation of Turkish Naval MoD (Ministry of Defense), Under secretariat for Turkish Defense Industries. The project aims at developing an indigenous Turkish warship with anti-submarine warfare and high-seas patrol capabilities via extensively using the principles of stealth technology in its design.
MiLGEM Corvettes are able to recognize, localize, classify, identify and destroy surface, air and underwater targets and to carry out Naval Gun Fire Support. In addition, the Corvettes are also effective in deterrence against any potential threat and conduct naval operations including maritime surveillance and patrol, protection of o¬-shore and infrastructure, Economic Exclusive Zone monitoring & surveillance.
The Ada-class is an anti-submarine corvette developed primarily for the Turkish Navy during the first stage of the MILGEM project. Currently, four Ada-class corvettes are in service with the Turkish Navy. The ship is equipped with the modern surface, subsurface and anti-air weapons, sensors and combat management system.
The Ada-class corvette is powered by a Combined diesel and gas (CODAG) propulsion system including a gas turbine rated at 23,000 kilowatts (31,000 hp) and two diesel engines rated at 4,320 kW (5,790 hp). Each diesel engine drives one controllable pitch propeller via a two-speed main reduction gear. The ship can reach a top speed of 30 kn (56 km/h; 35 mph) with a maximum cruising range of 3,500 nmi (6,500 km; 4,000 mi) at 15 kn (28 km/h; 17 mph).
The Ada-class corvette has a length of 99.56 m, a beam of 14.4 m, and a draft of 3.9 m. The ship has an endurance of 21 days with logistic support and 10 days in autonomous conditions. The ship has a crew of 93 sailors and can accommodate up to 106 people. She has a platform and hanger to carry one naval helicopter.
The Ada-class corvette is armed with one 76 mm (3 in) Oto Melara Super Rapid naval gun, two 12.7 mm (0.50 in) ASELSAN STAMP Stabilized Machine Gun turret, eight anti-ship missiles Harpoon or Atmaca, and two 324 mm (13 in) Mk.32 triple launchers for Mk.46 torpedoes.
