PT Caputra Mitra Sejati shipyard to deliver first PC60 fast patrol boats to Indonesian Navy in 2022


According to information published by the Indonesian Ministry of Defense, the Deputy Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral TNI Ahmadi Heri Purwono, has reviewed the production process of the fast patrol ships PC60 ordered by the Indonesian Navy that are under construction at the PT Caputra Mitra Sejati shipyard.

The Indonesian shipyard PT Caputra Mitra Sejati has started the construction of the first two PC60 fast patrol boats in February 2020 and is planned that the first boat will be completed in August 2022.

The PC60 fast patrol boat will have a length of 60.0 m, a draught of 2.72 m, and a beam of 8.5 m. She will be powered by two MTU 20V400M73 engines developing 3,200 Kw and will reach a top speed of 24 knots (44.48 km/h). The ship will have a complement of 55 people.

The PC60 will be armed with one 40mm Oto Melara naval gun mounted at the front deck and two 12.7mm FN Herstal machine guns. The rear part of the ship will be equipped with a RIB boat that can be used for visit board and search operations at sea.
