"There is still a threat of enemy missile strikes on military and civilian objects in the territory of Ukraine launched from the Black Sea and the territory of the Republic of Belarus," Oleksandr Motuzianyk, the spokesperson for the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, said during a briefing at the Ukraine Media Center–Ukrinform

He pointed out the activity of Russia’s Black Sea Fleet: "Ships of the Russian Black Sea Fleet in the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov continue to conduct reconnaissance and provide fire support to their units in the coastal direction. There are three carriers of Kalibr sea-launched cruise missiles in the Black Sea with up to 24 missiles ready to strike," Motuzianyk said.

Two Russian naval landing groups with a total of seven large landing ships have been stationed in the north-western part of the Black Sea.

The 3M-54 Kalibr, also referred to as 3M54-1 Kalibr, 3M14 Biryuza (turquoise), (NATO reporting names: SS-N-27 Sizzler and SS-N-30A), 91R1, and 91RT2, is a family of Russian cruise missiles developed by the Novator Design Bureau (OKB-8). There are ship-launched, submarine-launched and air-launched versions of the missile, and variants for anti-ship, anti-submarine and land attack use. Some versions have a second propulsion stage that initiates a supersonic sprint in the terminal approach to the target, reducing the time that the target's defense systems have to react, while subsonic versions have a greater range than the supersonic variants. The missile can carry a warhead weighing up to 500 kg of explosive or a thermonuclear warhead. The Kalibr missiles exchange information in flight: “Artificial intelligence is introduced into arms and hardware. It is possible that a missile sees the target and shares the information with other missiles. If one missile is downed, the rest will know where to fly. It is a netcentric situation on the battlefield. A salvo firing showed that Kalibr missiles have a real-time information exchange. The cruise missiles are actually robots.
