In addition to the Ropucha and Ivan Green class landing ships, the Russian Navy continues to have Admiral Grigorovich class frigates that are capable of carrying Kalibr missiles in the Black Sea.

About the Grigorovich class frigates

Admiral Grigorovich class frigates are a class of warships built for the Russian Navy. They are designed for anti-submarine warfare and anti-surface warfare operations, and are equipped with a variety of weapons and sensors to perform these tasks.

The class is based on the earlier Talwar class frigate design developed for the Indian Navy. The lead ship, Admiral Grigorovich, was commissioned in 2016 and a total of six ships have been built with more planned in the future.

The Admiral Grigorovich class frigates have a displacement of 4,500 tons and a length of 124 meters. These ships are equipped with a variety of armaments, including the Kalibr-NK cruise missile system, an 8-cell Redut missile launcher, and a 100mm A-190E gun.

The class is designed for anti-submarine and anti-surface warfare operations and is equipped with advanced sensors such as the MR-184/190-1V search radar, MR-360/370-1V radar, and MGK-335EM-03/05 sonar.

The Admiral Grigorovich class is capable of reaching speeds of up to 30 knots and has a range of 4,000 nautical miles. The ships are also able to accommodate a crew of 210, including an air detachment and can carry a Ka-27 helicopter.
