According to a tweet published by the Malaysian MoD on March 22, 2023, the Royal Thai Navy's Chonburi class patrol craft HTMS Phuket made a port visit to Lumut Naval Base, Malaysia.

The Chonburi class patrol craft were built by the Italian shipyard, Cantiere Navale Breda, and were designed to be fast and maneuverable, with a maximum speed of 29 knots and a range of up to 2,500 miles.
These ships were armed with a variety of weapons, including two 76 mm guns, one 40 mm/70 caliber gun, and two 12.7 mm machine guns. They were also equipped with a suite of electronic systems, such as surface search and fire control radars, electronic warfare systems, and decoy launchers.
The Chonburi class patrol craft were powered by three MTU diesel engines, generating a total power output of 4,265 horsepower. In addition, the ships had four auxiliary generators that drove four Cummins Generator Technologies generators, providing a total electrical output of 200 kW. These ships were designed to be highly maneuverable, with three Kamewa controllable pitch propellers.
The ships have a normal displacement of 420 tons, with a full load displacement of 450 tons. They have a length of 60.4 meters, a beam of 8.8 meters, and a draft of 2.0 meters. The class has a crew complement of 49 sailors and was designed for a variety of missions, including patrol, escort, and anti-submarine warfare.
