According to information published by the US DoD on May 10, 2023, MBDA is awarded a $19,626,194 not-to-exceed firm-fixed-price, cost-plus-fixed-fee modification to previously awarded undefinitized contract action N00024-23-C-2301 for the production of the Common Anti-Air Module Missile (CAMM) for the Multi-Mission Surface Combatants (MMSC) ships.

This contract involves Foreign Military Sales to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity (N00024-23-C-2301).
About the MMSC
Her open-architecture design features a semi-planning mono-hull made of steel and aluminum superstructure, with a displacement of 3,600 t (3,500 long tons), a length of 118.6 m (389 ft 1 in), a beam of 17.6 m (57 ft 9 in), and a draft of 4.3 m (14 ft 1 in).
The ship's large deck is capable of accommodating an MH-60R Seahawk, while its hangar can house a helicopter and two VTUAVs. The ship's anti-surface warfare capabilities include two quad launchers for anti-ship missiles, one MK-15 Mod 31 SeaRAM with 11-cell RIM 116C Block II Rolling Airframe Missiles (RAMs) CIWS, a 57 mm Mk110 or 76 mm Mk75 OTO Melara deck gun, and medium-caliber rapid-fire guns.
Additionally, the ship has capabilities for ASW missions, with the inclusion of the Nixie AN/SLQ-25 torpedo defense system, and Mk-32 Surface Vessel Torpedo Tubes.
For AAW, the ship can be equipped with two eight-cell Mk-41 VLS, which can carry a combination of RIM-162 ESSM medium and SM-2 long range missiles, and also with a 150 kW Laser weapon which is currently being tested on existing LCS.
The MMSC is equipped with a variety of sensors, including TRS-4D GaN AESA (rotating or fixed) surveillance and target acquisition radar, a modern fire control radar (for rotated), a multi-function phased array radar, an identificator friend or foe (IFF), Automatic Launch of Expendables (ALEX) chaff and decoy launching system, AN/SLQ-61 Lightweight Tow (LWT) Torpedo Defense Mission Module (TDMM), Nulka active missile decoy, towed array, and a compact low-frequency active and passive variable depth sonar.
The ship is powered by a CODAG (combined diesel and gas) system, capable of reaching speeds of over 30 knots (56 km/h; 35 mph) and has a range of 5,000 nautical miles (9,300 km; 5,800 mi) at a speed of 10 knots (19 km/h; 12 mph).
