The sponsorship agreement was formalized at the Ministry of Defence in a ceremony attended by notable military and industry representatives, including Staff Lieutenant General (Pilot) Salem bin Hamad bin Mohammed bin Aqeel Al Nabit, Chief of Staff of Qatar Armed Forces, and Toby Broughton, General Manager of MBDA Qatar. This agreement is part of Qatar's broader strategy to enhance its defence capabilities through partnerships and technological advancements.

Staff Lieutenant General Al Nabit and Staff Brigadier (Sea) Abdulbaqi S. Al-Ansari, Chairman of DIMDEX, both highlighted the strategic importance of the ongoing collaboration with MBDA, a European multinational group known for its advanced missile systems. They emphasized the role of such partnerships in supporting Qatar's defence objectives and contributing to international security.

MBDA's support for DIMDEX 2024 underscores the company's commitment to the Qatari defence sector, including providing advanced missile systems for naval, ground, and air platforms. Toby Broughton noted MBDA's focus on reinforcing its partnership with the Qatar Armed Forces, in line with the Qatar National Vision 2030, aiming to enhance the security of Qatar with advanced and next-generation systems.

DIMDEX 2024 aims to showcase the latest in maritime defence and security innovations, offering a platform for exhibitors to present solutions to contemporary and future challenges.
