Britannia Royal Naval College, commonly known as Dartmouth, is the naval academy of the United Kingdom and the initial officer training establishment of the Royal Navy. It is located on a hill overlooking the port of Dartmouth, Devon, England. Royal Naval officer training has taken place in Dartmouth since 1863.

In September 2017 it was announced that Atlas Elektronik UK (AEUK) had won a £48M contract to supply up to 38 modular, multipurpose workboats for the British Royal Navy.

The Atlas Elektronik Sea-Class boat is available in four models including the Sea-Class 11, 13, 15, and 18. The Sea Class 15 is the ship selected for the Britannia Royal Naval College to train future officers of the British Navy. Eight of the boats will be based on the river Dart for use by officers under training at Brittania Royal Navy College. They will replace the fleet of aging picket boats used by the college for basic navigation, seamanship, and leadership training. The officer training module will have additional bunks, workstations and teaching space.

Having a modular and reconfigurable capacity for logistics, diving training and operations, officer training, hydrographic survey, passenger transport the SEA Class Marine Craft range provides a highly flexible and innovative range of maritime capabilities.

According to the "Save the Royal Navy" website, the baseline workboat design can be customized with removable modules that can be transported by road, allowing the craft to be adapted for different tasks. All variants are capable of operating in up to Sea State 4 and sustain a maximum of 25 knots.

Sea Class 15 has a length of 13.8m, a beam of 4.4m, and a displacement of 23,150 kg. The ship is equipped with different types of training equipment including whiteboard, workstations, chart table, and flatscreen displays.
