Colombia could be interested by Light Riverine Patrol Support Vessel


According to information published by Infodefensa on November 23, 2021, the Colombian Navy could be interested in Light Riverine Patrol Support Vessel (PAF-L) built by Cotecmar.

Designed as a platform for communications, intelligence, and logistic support operations for riverine combat elements.

It is fitted with ballistic protection and offensive capability with high artillery power. Its hull shape maximizes the propulsion and maneuvering system performance, comprised of two jet pumps.

The Light Riverine Patrol Support Vessel has a length of 30 m, a beam of 7 m and she can reach a top speed of 9 knots (deep waters) and 6 knots (shallow waters). She can carry up a crew of 28 sailors, 12 petty officers, and 3 officers.

She will be fitted with two calibers 0,50 machine guns, two M60E4 (7,62) machine guns, and a night vision and target allocation system (SCORPION).
