The Saryu class patrol vessel has a displacement of 2,230 tons and measures 105 meters in length and 12.9 meters in beam. It has a draft of 4.9 meters.
The propulsion system consists of two Pielstick PA 6B STC diesel engines with a combined output of 21,725 PS, allowing it to reach speeds of up to 25 knots (46 km/h).
The vessel is equipped with various sensors and processing systems, including a Sperry Bridgemaster I-band navigation radar and an EON-51 electro-optical fire control system.
She also has an electronic support system called the Sanket Mk III and a communication intelligence system called the ELK 7036. To counter threats, the vessel has four Kavach chaff launchers.
The armament of the vessel includes a single 76 mm/62 Oto Melara gun and two 30 mm/65 AK-630 close-in weapon systems. The vessel can also carry one HAL Dhruv helicopter.
The vessel has a complement of 16 officers and 102 sailors. With a range of 6,000 nautical miles (11,000 km) at 16 knots (30 km/h), the offshore patrol vessel is suitable for extended missions and operations.
