The company is actively engaging with Greek companies as part of its industrial cooperation program associated with the supply of Defense and Intervention Frigates (FDI HN) for the Hellenic Navy. MBDA is also looking to strengthen its collaborative efforts in research and joint project development.

In line with previous agreements signed, including those during the EURONAVAL 2022 exhibition, MBDA has partnered with AKMON S.A. and MILTECH HELLAS S.A. for the production of electronic equipment and cables.

Additionally, MBDA is working with SSA S.A. for integration activities onboard the FDI. Recently, MBDA signed another contract with SSA S.A. in collaboration with the Polytechnic University of Athens (NTUA), focusing on cutting-edge fields such as artificial intelligence. Multiple research and development (R&D) contracts were also finalized in 2022.

To further expand its cooperation with Greek partners and ensure long-term collaboration, MBDA aims to develop additional R&D projects. These projects are intended to integrate Greek partners into MBDA's supply chain, starting from the research and study phases of products and services. The ultimate goal is to jointly market "Made in Greece" products and services globally.

To explore further opportunities with Greek industry stakeholders, MBDA plans to participate in the upcoming "R&D Partners Days" organized by Naval Group in Athens in June.

This initiative reflects MBDA's commitment to fostering ongoing collaborations with defense companies in Greece. The partnership between MBDA and Greek defense companies has been thriving for over 25 years, with various equipment contracts being executed for the Greek Armed Forces, including the Navy, Air Force, and Army.

By strengthening its ties with the Greek defense industry, MBDA aims to leverage the expertise and capabilities of its Greek partners while promoting technological advancements and innovation. This collaboration will contribute to the growth of both the Greek defense industry and MBDA's position as a global leader in missile systems.
