Ortega Submersibles Showcased their 3 Person Underwater Vehicle for Special Forces at UDT 2015
 
At the UDT 2015 Undersea Defence Technology exhibition and conference, Dutch company Ortega Submersibles showcased its Ortega Mk. 1C three-person electric submersible boat for special forces. It was inspired by the "Sleeping Beauty", a motorised submersible canoe built by British Special Operations Executive during World War II as an underwater vehicle for a single frogman to perform clandestine reconnaissance or attacks against enemy vessels.

The BRIDGES consortium has won 8 Millions Euros in the latest EU Horizon 2020 competitive funding in the areas of Blue Growth, under priority “Unlocking the potential of seas and oceans”. By funding this Research & Innovation Action, the European Commission clearly supports the emergence of a European champion in underwater glider technology and the miniaturized sensor industry.

At the UDT 2015 Undersea Defence Technology exhibition and conference defence and security company Saab announced it has received an order from Modus Seabed Intervention Ltd for delivery of Seaeye Sabertooth Hybrid AUV/ROV. Delivery will take place during the first quarter 2016.

At UDT 2015 RTsys Presents Underwater Portable Target for ASW Training
The 28th Undersea Defence Technology (UDT) exhibition and conference is the occasion for French company RTsys to present its Autonomous Portable Vehicle Recoverable Target (APV-RT) for Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) training. APV-RT is an autonomous, recoverable, acoustic and magnetic target dedicated to ASW training. It is useable for all kinds of platforms such as surface ships, submarines, helicopters and ASW aircraft.
